Morning and afternoon activities

In the preschool, morning and afternoon activities are organized for preschoolers and 1st-2nd graders, as well as for students who have received a special support decision. For preschool children, the activity is early childhood education and works according to the practices of early childhood education.

Activities are organized between 7:30 - 8:30 and 12:40 - 17:15. The activity is for a fee and includes breakfast and a snack, accident insurance and activity material. Breakfast is offered to children who come to the activity by 8:15. In addition to breakfast, the program includes free play and games inside in the morning. Finally, we go outside and wait for the school day to start at 8:30-8:45. In the afternoon we hang out, play, play games and do homework and eat a snack. For afternoon activities, it is possible to visit the school's clubs.

Applications for morning and afternoon activities are made through eDaisy (fi). The application period for the academic year 2022-2023 is January 11 - February 25, 2022. The principal of basic education makes the decisions about taking children into the activity. Children are admitted to morning and afternoon activities on equal grounds in order of registration. Parents commit to the activity for one semester at a time. Reservations for activities are made through the DaisyFamily service.

You can apply for an exemption from the fees for morning and afternoon activities with a statement from the social service. The decision on exemption from payment is made by the board of education.
