Tippala's opening hours during the school year (August-May):
On Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for those who have finished elementary school
On Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for middle school students and those who have finished elementary school
On Fridays from 5:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for middle school students
The Tippala youth center is located in the middle of the village at Pirkantie 2, 99300 Muonio.
All young people over the age of 13 are warmly welcome to Tippala. Youth services employees act as supervisors. Youth center Tippala's facilities and activities are the responsibility of the youth secretary.
Nuorostila Tippala is a living room for young people from Muonio, where everyone is welcome. At Tippala, you can spend your time hanging out with friends. With us, you can play poker or xbox, billiards or ping pong, as well as many different board games! We have decent music tricks for listening to your own music. Tippala has a wireless network for your own devices, as well as five really efficient computers for everyone to use. In addition to normal opening hours, Tippala organizes many different themed evenings and events. The youth facilities and their grounds are completely drug-free, and the possession of drugs is also prohibited. In problem situations, we are always in contact with the parents of young people and, if necessary, with the authorities. We have zero tolerance for both mental and physical violence.
The band facilities on the middle floor are freely available to the residents of Muonio. Anyone can start a band, or go play alone. Adults from Muonio can also reserve a band space by contacting the youth secretary.
The band mode now also has a brand new digital space! Five computers suitable for heavy gaming are available in the digital space. You can reserve the middle floor, as agreed, for example for your cs:go team as a practice space or for studying.
In the basement of Tippala, there is a moped workshop made in cooperation with the MOP project. There you can find all the necessary basic tools, which we have received as a donation from local companies. The equipment also includes a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker and the gadgets needed to play music. There you can enjoy repairing and maintaining mopeds or other small machines!
