In the area of Muonio municipality, waste management is in charge of Lapland's waste management municipal corporation, Lapeco.

Workshop

Electrical, electronic, metal and iron scrap collection point is located behind the workshop (työpaja).

We accept electrical, electronic, metal and iron scrap free of charge only during the workshop's opening hours.

Mon-Thurs. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fri. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Electrical and electronic equipment scrap, i.e. electrical and electronic equipment that has been put out of use, and which require electricity, a battery, or solar energy to operate. The most common devices in the home are, for example, household appliances, watches, computers, printers, mobile phones, televisions, cameras, lamps, power tools, electric stoves and hot water heaters. Lamps (excluding incandescent and halogen lamps) are also considered electrical and electronic devices. We only accept complete devices.

Metal and iron scrap, i.e. large metal and iron objects that do not fit in a conventional metal collection container - Metal and iron scrap are e.g.: bicycle wheels, lawnmowers, electric cables, internal combustion engines (without liquids), sheet metal, wood-burning stoves, opened and empty barrels and metal kitchen counters and faucets.

Other waste must be delivered to the Lapeco ecoMOBIL collection point. The EcoMOBIILI collection point is open on Fridays of even weeks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The EcoMOBILE collection point is at Kerässiepintie 92, 99300 Muonio.
