Louis Philippe puisto

Louis Philippe Park was built in honor of the 150th anniversary of the municipality of Muonio and is located in the center of Muonio. This charming park offers a peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature for locals and tourists alike. The park is named in honor of Louis Philippe, who was the king of France and a famous explorer.

The school's fields, rinks and ski area are also freely available outside of school hours. In the area of the elementary school, there is also a smaller fenced "Poron Potku" field, which is suitable for playing basketball/football or table football. In addition, the yard has e.g. cabin forest, swings, rocking horse track, ping pong table and outdoor play area.

Residents of Muonio are entitled to a reduced entrance ticket to the spa located in Levi. You can get a card entitling you to the discount free of charge from the library, library car or education office.

Äijäkoski view point

Torniontie, about 7km south from Muonio

Äijäkoski is one of Muonionjoki's prettiest and most powerfully flowing rapids. There is a wonderful lookout point that is easily accessible. In the vicinity of Äijäkoski, from the lookout point along the path in the south direction, there is also a campfire spot.
