Many companies and other operators also offer outdoor recreation opportunities in the Muonio area. In the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park in the Muonio municipality, there are many routes maintained by Metsähallitus, wilderness huts and rest stops.

Tracks and winter outdoor routes
Muonio municipality has about 200 km of trail network, and about 30 km of that are lighted trails. Bicycling and walking are also allowed on the landscape route around the top of Olostunturi.

Outdoor sports venues and sports fields
The outdoor exercise areas and sports fields maintained by Muonio municipality are mainly located in the center near the schools on Opintie. In addition, the municipality maintains the Kiela neighborhood sports park and the construction of an outdoor gym is planned. The municipality also has Harriniva minigolf, Kangosjärvi frisbee golf and the Kangosjärvi field, but these are not maintained by the municipality.
