The environmental protection tasks of the Muonio municipality will be handled from January 1, 2020 in cooperation with Sodankylä, Utsjoki, Inari and Enontekiö, with Sodankylä acting as the municipality responsible for the cooperation. The new organization is called Arctic Lapland Environmental Protection (fi) .
